First Aid
Madison County Hospital is offers first aid classes available to the community. The three-hour class uses the American Heart Association guidelines.

First aid is the immediate care that is given to someone with an illness or injury before trained help arrives or takes over. Trained help includes someone whose job it taking care of people who are ill or injured such as an EMS responder, nurse or doctor.

Actions during the first minutes of an emergency can be critical. First aid is a valuable skill often given for minor injuries or illnesses, and in some cases heart attack and bleeding. First aid provided can mean the difference between life and death; quick recovery or a long illness.

Classes cost $35 and include a workbook.

All classes are offered in the Park Avenue Medical Building Conference Room located at 55 Park Avenue. All participants must pre-register to attend the class. Please call 740-845-7304 to learn more or to schedule for a class.
